The Big Diesel in Cleveland - Shaq Traded to Cavs

Shaq and Kobe
Shaq and Wade
Shaq and Nash

And now… the Big Diesel and arguably his best teammate ever, LeBron.

Shaq is 37- and really approaching the end of his historic career. But the big guy does have something left, and is a proven champion, coupled with LeBron I could see a ring in Clevelands future.

With that being said- what effect does this have on 2010 and the Knicks? I think it helps NY…Shaq is in the final year of his contract, and you have to think that it will be hard for them to resign him in 2010 (that is assuming all goes well and they actually want to, and Shaq doesn’t want to call it quits). This is one of the best things that could have happened for the Knicks. Cleveland puts together a team that is built to make a 1 year run, and LeBron can say “Hey Cleveland, thanks, I got you a ring, this teams breaking up and so am I, I’m out.”

Not to mention where has Shaq played in his career…Orlando, LA, Miami, Phoenix… has any superstar ever moved around this much? If anyone is going to be able to explain to LeBron what it is like to make a change, Shaq can. I can see the conversation now: "Hey LeBron, I know it’s tough, but look at what I did, I was in Orlando, rolling- looked like we could get a title, left for the big market of LA and won three…had "some issues" with my teammate – ("Kobe tell me how my a$$ tastes") and left for Miami, won another ring- then I went to Pheonix, the team fell apart kind and now I’m here, ready to win a ring again."

If anyone knows about being a star, moving around, and finding success- its Shaq.

Cleveland might have just paid for LeBrons ticket to NYC, or at least got him a moving coach.
