Marc Berman of the New York Post spoke with Dwyane Wade about the potential of teaming with LeBron in New York in 2010 and D Wade did not shy away from the topic: Wade went on to say that New York has its pros and cons; one of the cons being the cold weather. He also acknowledged that they both enjoyed playing together under Mike D'Antoni and Coach K in the Olympics. Now these are some good quotes, but let me settle this right now: Dwyane Wade and LeBron James will play together in 2010 for 1 night in Dallas during the All Star game, other than that its just not happening. Both Wade and Bron are franchise players. They've taken their teams to the Finals at a young age, Wade completing the job with some help from a past his prime Shaq. Now, I don't know if anyone else has noticed this about players in the NBA, but there's a little thing called ego that many of them have. Wade is simply too good to play second fiddle. He will not be happy if the headlines read "LEBRON LEADS KNICKS TO 10th STRAIGHT WIN WITH 40 POINT EXPLOSION; WADE GETS 20" People will say, "He was fine with it during the Olympics." True, but that was a redemption mission those players were one for one summer. Things change when its a 5 year odyssey. Lets also not forget that they both need the ball a lot to be effective and have somewhat similar "slashing" styles. There just wouldn't be enough touches for each of them. However, lets not rule out Wade coming to New York entirely. If LeBron wins a ring in June 2010 in Cleveland, it will be tough for him to sign in New York in July, that's when Knick fans and Dwyane Wade will start thinking realistically about coming to New York.
