Kobe Bryant
So yes, he just won the championship, and hes not playing in the small market of Cleveland, but Kobe coming right out and saying hes staying in LA has to scare Cavs fans a little. LeBron just lead his team to the best record in the league, went to the Eastern conference finals, sweeping the teams in the first two rounds, but the fact that he hasn't come out and said what Kobe announced today...idk. We'll see what the future holds, but if I am a Cavs fan, I'm very nervous I haven't heard LeBron come out and repeat Kobes words of "I'm not going anywhere. I know I ain't going nowhere, so it's just a waste of our breaths just talking about it." Not just saying "it won't happen" but saying it's a waste of our breaths. It's not like hes going to prevent himself from getting a max deal either way.

NBA 2K10 is letting the fans decide what image will go on the Cover this year. Their commercials show you four different versions of the cover art and encourage you to go online to 2ksports.com/vote to cast your vote and help decide the winning cover. GamePro Sports Reports that three things are for sure regarding the vote:
Imagine how nuts Cleveland fans would be if LeBron was on the cover and they came out with this "joke"...and how the LeBron Knicks jersey would clearly win And also- if you go to vote now... the Kobe Knicks Jersey cover is 2nd in the voting with 30%- trailing the LA Jersey cover by only 3% |

Kobe outdid LeBron this year...in jersey sales. LeBron was the #2 selling jersey on the NBA store web site. Chris Paul climbed to number 3 followed by KG and Iverson to round out the top five.
LA was also number one in Team merchandise sold with Boston at #2, followed by the New York Knicks at #3 and Cleveland at #4. The Knicks are #3 in total team merchandise with a 50 LOSS SEASON...could you imagine if they had the best record in the NBA like Cleveland did? It wouldn't even be a contest. LeBron, take note, your jersey would be #1 in the World in NYC, just one of the many perks to consider. |

The Miami Herald reported last week that Kobe Bryant thinks it is a possibility that both LeBron and D-Wade would sign with the same team in 2010. Although he did not explicitly state that team to be the Knicks, the Knicks will be one of the few- if not the only- team that will be able to sign two big name free agents to max contracts in 2010.
LeBron has said of Wade: "[Dwayne Wade] is like the brother I never had. He has always proved doubters wrong. You don't want to play a team in the playoffs that has a guy [like that] that can take over." |

The report states: 'Though it would be surprising, Kobe Bryant said he could see Dwyane Wade and LeBron James signing with the same team as free agents in 2010, with the Knicks having the cap space to do it. "Why not?" Bryant said. "They played well together at the Olympics."'
