Chris Bosh

We've Got a Running Mate for LeBron

In a short question and answer session with the Toronto Star, Raptors forward Chris Bosh revealed that New York is his favorite road destination.

"New York," Bosh said when asked what the best road city is in the NBA.

Amare: Knicks should take me over Bosh

In "despite the fact that I can't see out of one eye, have already had micro-fracture surgery, but still want to market myself" news, the New York Post's Blog is reporting the Amare Stoudemire thinks he's better than Chris Bosh and he will be seriously considering New York in 2010:

CHICAGO - Here in Chicago waiting for the next wave of potential first-rounders to fill into Westin for the final media availability..

Back in New York, ESPN Radio's Brandon Tierney had Amare Stoudamire on this morning and reiterated remarks about his desire to play for Mike D'Antoni in 2010 while boasting about being better than Chris Bosh. Stoudemire told The Post similar stuff during All-Star Weekend.

When Tierney asked Stoudemire if he's better than Bosh, the Suns forward said, "Oooh man, are you kidding me? Ask Chris Bosh that question."

So that's a yes?

"No doubt about it, I'm better than Chris Bosh"

"How serious will you consider the Knicks in 2010"?

"I will be totally serious about that, I spent a lot of my childhood there, I have a connection with the state, and I also love the entire coaching staff"

" I think Coach D'Antoni's doing a phenomenal job with the Knicks, NY's a great city, I follow them closely."

Report: Bosh tells Raptors he’s gone in 2010

If only he had told him where he was planning on going as well...According to Stephen A. Smith, Chris Bosh reportedly informed Toronto Raptors GM, Bryan Colangelo, that he will not re-sign with the team in 2010.

"He has no desire to remain in Toronto," said Smith, during a Feb. 1 interview.

Smith mentioned Miami and Dallas as possible destinations.

Could Bosh come to NY ahead of schedule? And if so would this encourage him to stay in 2010? I think so. New York is dying for a franchise player and Bosh could be that guy. Give him a season and a half to soak in the limelight of New York and get acclimated to Mike D’Antoni’s system, then the addition of LeBron in 2010 becomes that much smoother of a transition.

The question is – at what price? Bryan Colangelo won't even pick up the phone unless David Lee is on the table. Is it worth it to New York to give up David Lee now? Probably. Aside from Bosh's incredible talent, the Knicks may want to get aggressive to prevent him from ending up in Miami. The Knicks would be wise to block a Wade Bosh pairing now as a couple of winning seasons and nights out in South Beach might encourage both of them to re-sign with Miami in 2010, thus limiting the number of marquee players that will be available that summer.
