Mike Dunleavy

Dunleavy: "I think they get more than one"

"It's pretty clear what New York's plan is," Dunleavy said. "Under any other circumstances they wouldn't have done that [trade Zach Randolph for Tim Thomas and Cutino Mobley]. Their belief is they can land one or two guys in 2010."

"I felt, 'Why don't I solve their problems?' It's a huge market and I think they get more than one."

Those were the sentiments of Mike Dunleavy, the coach/GM of the LA Clippers. A few months back the Knicks were off to a very promising start, with (arguably) their two best players at the time, Jamal Crawford and Zach Randolph leading the charge. When the Knicks traded their top two scorers it was no secret what their intentions were- not to get better now- but to land LeBron or at least one of the many free agents in 2010.

Apparently Mike thinks the Knicks have a pretty good shot, and all New York Knicks fans should thank him for helping open this door for us.
