Brandon Jennings
Brandon Jennings and Tyreke Evans worked out for the Knicks on Monday. Brandon Jennings opted to play overseas after completing high school at Oak Hill Academy. Jennings is the first top high school recruit who responded to the NBA's age limit by choosing this path (Lance Stephenson looks to be next). While many reports say he matured in his year overseas that's hard to accept when he's taking shots at Duhon and has already loudly criticized Ricky Rubio as being overhyped, "Yeah, I think I'm a better player than he is," Jennings told reporters after working out for the Sacramento Kings on Friday. "I just shoot the ball better than he can. The only thing I've seen him do sometimes is when he has a home run pass or something like that. I think the dude is just all hype. I can't even front. I'm just going to be real with you guys." I like Jennings and he'd bringing a killer crossover to New York the likes of which have not been seen since Tim Hardaway was wearing a Warriors uniform, but it feels like all his talking to help his draft status is having the opposite affect. A team like New York does not want the possibility of a disruptive personality, especially if a good soldier like Stephen Curry is still on the board. |

“(Chris) Duhon played a lot of minutes," Jennings said, "But I don’t mind playing them anyway because I’m young, I’m 19, I can go forever. I think New York has good pieces, they have Robinson, Harrington, Lee. So they have great pieces, they just need that point guard to come in here and run the team and then hopefully get LeBron in 2010."
